The quality of the earth's environment is an integral aspect of my energy independence proposal, "Renew America".
There is little doubt that Al Gore accomplished much more outside of the political arena than he ever accomplished inside the Washington Web of special interests. His movie, "An Inconvenient Truth," has unified and heightened our sense of urgency to deal with global warming.
It is an inconvenient truth that our leaders in Washington, in many cases, are not pro-active in protecting the environment. In addition to global warming, we must direct attention to issues of water and air quality and conservation. Preservation of the basic resources for all life should be at the top of our action list in America and in our relations with other nations
