July 27, 2008 — The man giving John Kerry his first Democratic primary fight since his election to the Senate more than 20 years ago proposed a series of debates Friday.
Gloucester attorney Edward O'Reilly suggested town hall meetings in each of the state's 14 counties. He also proposed formal debates at the five University of Massachusetts campuses, as well as some community colleges. And he urged Kerry to join in a set of proposed media debates.
